GDN is a family run private gym created by Mr & Mrs Gordon offering two concepts; GDN Fitness, consisting of high-end Personal Training and small group classes with up to 6 members. GDN Hockey, the first hockey fitness centre specialising in skill development, strength & conditioning and match play for both juniors & adults.
Iain is an accomplished and experienced personal trainer. He set up his first business, ‘Iain Gordon Fitness’ in 2012. Iain specialises in fitness, weight loss and strength and condition for aspiring and elite athletes. He has worked with many clients to overcome injuries, improve their speed and power specifically for sports. Iain has had equally impressive results in guiding clients through weight loss journeys, having several clients losing in excess of 6 stone Iain himself is an elite hockey player. He currently competes in the English Premier League, for 3-time National Champions, and European semi-finalists, Wimbledon Hockey Club. His success in hockey stems from his career in the fitness industry as a health and fitness coach.
Sri Lankan born Interior Designer Ishani Gordon began her career at The Sunday Times, where she honed her skills in branding, image/video editing and web design which provided a strong platform to pave the way for a successful career. With a decade of experience, working both nationally & internationally, she has developed a vast portfolio consisting of high-end residential and commercial projects. Using her skills and extensive experience in this specialised arena, Ishani has managed to create a unique space in GDN which enhances the members experience when using the unique facilities.
From South Africa to Seer Green, with a BSc in Sport Science and a Level 3 in Personal Training; Emma focuses her love of fitness and health on improving full body movement, reducing aches and pains and supporting others in creating their own healthy and sustainable lifestyles.
As an avid tennis player, Emma combines her knowledge to create off court strength and conditioning programs to help improve on court performance. She has successfully helped clients move better without pain and has increased the longevity of their playing careers.
A decade in the industry, Level 3 Personal Trainer, Alex, believes in that ‘Feel Good’ factor which training can provide for the physical and mental well-being of the client. Their satisfaction from reaching goals and ultimately becoming healthier, happier individuals is his driving force. Whether it’s losing weight, building muscle or reaching a new PB; Alex enjoys the challenge and is fully committed to the journey.
As an avid sportsperson competing nationally in gymnastics and athletics, he also played football representing England school boys U18s as a youth international. More recently, Alex has competed in men’s physique bodybuilding, placing 1st, 2nd & 2nd earning his pro card with Miami pro and Pure Elite.
Mel is an experienced Level 4 Strength & Conditioning qualified Personal Trainer with a BSc in Sports Science. Her motivating nature keeps clients focused and her level of support is second to none. As an avid learner, Mel strives to equip herself with knowledge and understanding to deliver effective training sessions specifically designed to meet clients’ needs.
Supporting GDN’s Hockey strength & conditioning program, Mel’s passion for sport led her to play in the Women’s Hockey Premier League for a number of years. Her tailored approach allows fitness to be incorporated in an enjoyable yet challenging format to accommodate player requirements including injury prevention.
